An Arkansas Native, Judge Ohm is a 1975 Graduate of North Side High School in Ft. Smith, a 1979 Graduate of Henderson State University with a Bachelors in History, and a 1982 Graduate of UALR Law School.

He has been in private practice for 28 years. He serves as General Counsel to the Arkansas Public Entities Risk Management Association which consists of approximately 110 city and counties.

He has been the County Attorney for Garland County, Arkansas since 1993. He also has served as the County attorney for Hot Spring County since 2007. He currently serves as retained counsel for The Arkansas Sheriffs’ Association, The Arkansas Public Defender Commission and several other entities.  Lastly, Judge Ohm has served as the District Court Judge for Hot Springs and Garland County, Arkansas, since January 1, 1999.

He taught Criminal Law and Criminal Justice classes at Garland County Community College for 10 years prior to being District Court Judge and is currently an instructor for the Arkansas State Police Training Academy.

The Honorable Ralph C. Ohm is a member of the Arkansas Bar Association, District Court Judges Association, Garland County Bar Association, Spa Pacers, and many other groups and organizations.

Judge Ohm and his wife, Derri, have been married for 31 years and have a 13 year old daughter, Ashlyn.
